Noida: GNIDA has issued a request for proposal to hire an agency to set up a second biogas plant in Pauvari Gaushala, after laying the foundation of a similar plant in the Jalpura village cowshed last week. The proposed plant will process 50 TPD of cow dung and will be established under a public-private partnership (PPP) model in 12 months. It will be developed at an estimated cost of Rs 17 crore. The plants will produce compressed natural gas (CNG) that can be used to fuel vehicles and kitchens. Using anaerobic digestion, the bio-CNG plant will convert cow dung into eco-friendly fuel, offering a sustainable solution that also generates revenue for the shelter's upkeep and helps in effective waste management.
