A disturbing incident has come to light from Green Ribbon International School in Noida’s Sector 55, where a teacher has been accused of physically assaulting a 10-year-old student with special needs. The incident, captured on video and circulated in a school WhatsApp group, has sparked outrage among parents and child rights advocates.

According to a First Information Report (FIR) filed by the boy’s parents, the child was admitted to the school with the understanding that he would receive dedicated support and a safe learning environment. However, the video evidence shows the teacher, identified as Anil Kumar, repeatedly hitting the child and subjecting him to aggressive behavior during a classroom activity.

In the footage, Mr. Kumar is seen instructing the student in a matching exercise. As the child struggles to respond, the teacher loses his temper, slaps him on the hand, and later grabs and shakes him forcefully. Background audio in the video captures shouting and sounds of slapping, further highlighting the intensity of the incident.

Our child was admitted to this school because it specializes in educating children with special needs,” the parents said in their FIR. “He requires care, patience, and specialized attention. Instead, he was treated cruelly. This is not only a legal violation, but an act of inhumanity.”

The parents also alleged that school authorities were aware of similar behavior in the past. They have named the principal and vice-principal in the complaint, claiming prior incidents had been ignored. Following the report, the principal reportedly assured the family that disciplinary action would be taken and the teacher in question would be suspended.

The case is now under investigation.
